Any more info on these? Anyone here use them and has opinions about them. I had a pistol smith who is a shooter tell me he was not particualry impressed. Any local experiences?

Tim Schmidt (US Concealed Carry) had a VERY favorable write up on these recently.
Said that he ran across them at the SHOT show and they wanted him to try them and he said he'd burn them in his magazine if they were no good. They said to take them and he wouldn't be disappointed.
Turned out that he loved them.

How did I totally mis this thread?
Anyway, that is a really good report on those sights. I am curious as to how they compare to my TFOs... It seems sight alignment would be much easier...

Wow that is totally cool looking. Thanks for sharing. I put the Sure Sight web page in my favorite places.

Must be a really happening product. Just took some time to visit the web site and they are TOTALLY SOLD OUT. There is a link to put yourself on an email list for when they are back in stock.

These sight are quite limited.
They might be an OK beginner sight or OK for folks with poor sight, but I think they have many more drawbacks than possitives for all around shooting. For true defensive shooting, you would be better off just pulling out your rear sight and painting the front sight your color of choice.
I shot the same size groups in the same amount of time using my loaded firing pin indicator (front and rear sights removed) as a sight as I did with this particular sight.
I would go so far as to say that the reason some folks think they shoot better with them is because they are actaully just focusing on the sights and that if they put the same focus on a good set of sights they would have even have better results. This opinion is based over many years of helping folks understand what shooting is.
Learning how to use the sights you have from someone who knows their stuff would be money MUCH better spent IMO.

I took a red sharpie to my rear sights, and it helped a lot by forcing me to focus on the front sight. I think I'll keep my sights and buy a couple of matches worth of ammo. If I do buy a sight it might be a dawson in stock height for the front.

Good choice IMO, the .125 width fits good in the stock rear sight since it is "extra" wide.

Interesting post.
Do you have any advice for those of us with poor eyesight or who wear bifocals and have a hard time focusing on the front sight. The way it is now, I have to coat the front sight almost every time I shot to be able to see it clearly. It is in the wrong place too far for the near vision and too close for the far.

I've tried surefire sights they take some getting used to. My son really likes them. I have a stock rear sight and front fire sights. I wear bifocals and the front fiber sight realy helps me aquire the target.

Use a wide target rear notch (.125-.130) and a narrow fiber optic front sight (.100) It give you plenty of contrast and light around the front blade and DOES NOT draw your attention to the rear sight. It keeps your focus where it should be, the front sight.

I believe enough practice with any sights will make you better with them period. I shoot TFO's on my G19 and have XS 24/7 night sights on my SC40, two completely sight systems and I'm proficent with both(at least I think I am).
